Omitir - Old Temple Of Depression

In 2023, Slowdriver Records has boldly stepped into cassettes with the inaugural release of OMITIR's debut album, officially released in 2007, 'Old Temple of Depression.' The brainchild of a secretive Tormentv  draws inspiration from the mysterious castros of Gallaecia, the land's ancient hillforts that have stood for centuries. These ancient structures have witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations, the changing of seasons, and the secrets of the Grovian people from the Northern of Portugal. They've become the focal point of the K7 artwork, photographed by the talented Daniel Matos. These castros, looming in solitude and obscurity, are a fitting representation of the atmospheric soundscapes crafted by OMITIR.
'Old Temple of Depression' is a fusion of pagan black metal and ambient sounds that conjure images of ancient rituals, nature's power, and the mysticism of Gallaecia. The harsh, otherworldly vocals are contrasted by hauntingly beautiful ambient textures, creating a unique listening experience.
